Local Counselling and Therapy Support, Leicester
We go deeper than quick fixes
I welcome clients of all genders, including LGBTQ+ individuals, from all backgrounds and beliefs. I have a particular interest in working with neurodivergence and with people navigating complex emotional or relational patterns. As a Registered Member of the BACP, I work in line with its ethical framework, offering a confidential, non-judgemental and professional service, whilst engaging in continual professional development to deepen and enhance the support I offer.

Hi, I’m Ria Worley
A BACP Registered Counsellor offering therapeutic support for adults, and connection-focused family support. Having gained a first-class BSc in Counselling & Psychotherapy with the University of Derby, I moved onto opening my private practice; a space that is LGBTQ+ affirming and neurodivergent-friendly, everyone is welcome. Face-to-face sessions are available from a Community Wellbeing Hub in Whetstone, Leicester, a Wellbeing Centre in Clarendon Park, as well as online across the UK.
Blending Counselling, Psychotherapy and Clinical Hypnotherapy, I offer support that feels practical, compassionate, and tailored to your individual needs. At the heart of my work is the relationship between us. Therapy with me is a steady, calm, confidential space where you can explore patterns, make sense of your experiences and move towards living more authentically. Meaningful progress is built on safety, trust and genuine connection. Attention is paid to early attachment, unconscious processes, and the ways past relationships shape present difficulties. My background includes supporting people through anxiety, overwhelm, identity & belonging, relationships, trauma or feeling stuck in unhelpful patterns. Our work is led by you, at a pace and depth that feels right.
Alongside my private practice, I specialise in safeguarding and fire-prevention work with children and young people, which continues to inform my understanding of relational dynamics, emotional development, and family systems. My professional experience includes working with Leicester Counselling Centre and Sue Young Cancer Support, helping individuals from diverse backgrounds and those affected by cancer, loss, and existential curiosities.
Outside of work, I love long walks in nature, spending quality time with my daughter, and enjoying a slow morning when life allows.
